Dear Compass Rose,
I just opened my mail and was thrilled my poem Redemption was a selected Finalist. I do have a porblem fo rrecently the poem was also accepted by Salamander for its June publication.
If this disqualfies me, I regreatbly understand. I should be very glad to apply for your consideration some other of my poems.
I have been sending submissions out for such a long time and suddenly I am being accepted – rewarding but a little confusing when it is for the same poem.
Please accept my sincere apologies if this cuases you undo trouble. I woul dbe sad to give up the recognation.
Kindest Regards,
Nan Becker

We do not publish finalists, only the winner. There’s no trouble on our end (and you can add “finalist” to the contributor note that will appear in Salamander).
The Eds.
Not a problem as we do not publish finalist poems, only the winner. Congrats on its publication!
How can I apply to your Visiting Artist program? PLMK–

Contact the director, Darrell Matsumoto. You can find his contact information at the Chester College of New England website (www.chestercollege.edu).
Hello! My husband, John Randall Williams, received an email indicating that he is ‘editor’s choice’ for his short story, Paulo.
Unfortunately, I can’t find any information on the ‘editor’s choice’ …. can you tell me where on the site I can read about what the editors have said?

Our Editor Choice selections are our favorite pieces in each issue. We start to publish them here on the blog when the magazine is available for sale and feature one piece each week throughout the late spring and summer. We’re hoping Volume XI will be available in early May and are planning to let our Editor’s Choice contributors know when they’ll be on the blog in a note with their contributor copy.
